The frequency inverters in the NORDAC PRO, NORDAC ON, NORDAC FLEX, and NORDAC LINK product families are an integral part of our modular product range. With these, supplemented by the motors and gear motors from the NORD product range, we develop a system solution for every motion task in your application – from energy-efficient load control in conveyor technology to precise dosing in filling plants and scalable functions in the packaging process.

  • NORDAC frequency inverters are flexible in their application. They are available for control cabinets ( NORDAC <i>PRO</i> ), for field installation ( NORDAC <i>LINK</i> ), and for motor mounting ( NORDAC <i>ON</i> and NORDAC <i>FLEX</i> ). This means we can serve any system architecture.
  • NORDAC frequency inverters are compatible. Ethernet protocols such as PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and EtherCat can be easily set via parameters. This means that installation takes very little time.
  • NORDAC frequency inverters always fit. This means you get drive solutions with motors, gear units, and drive electronics from NORD, all from a single source.

  • NORDAC ON PURE is a decentralized frequency inverter for washdown areas. It is equipped with the food-compliant NXD tupH® surface finish, has a smooth, rounded housing design, and a reduced number of connectors.
  • The power range of the compact NORDAC PRO control cabinet inverters is being expanded from 22 kW to up to 160  kW, offering even more application options.
  • The NORDAC LINK is getting a facelift, making it even more user-friendly and powerful.

Our latest developments expand the functional range of our drive electronics for your application.

<h3>CFC open-loop injection</h3>
This innovative process also makes sensorless control possible for dynamic applications. It can be used for drive systems with permanent magnet synchronous motors without encoder feedback and offers impressive overload capacity and dynamics. With an overload capacity of 150% and reduced ramp times, even applications with frequent load changes can do without encoders. This saves weight and simplifies commissioning.

<h3>Condition monitoring with NORD DRIVE MONITOR</h3>
The IIoT solution makes it possible to determine and evaluate drive parameters and status data via the integrated PLC of a NORDAC frequency inverter. The data can also be made available to the user's central systems. This allows important information for predictive maintenance to be derived, enabling proactive maintenance of machines and systems, reducing downtime, and increasing overall equipment effectiveness.

<h3>Functional safety</h3>
The functional safety of NORDAC frequency inverters is being expanded step by step and extended to additional communication protocols. The next step will be to add new safety functions to NORDAC ON: in addition to STO and SS1, it will also be available with SLS, SMS, and SSM in the future. Based on the Profisafe and FSoE interfaces, integration into existing Ethernet environments is also possible, as is use as a stand-alone solution.
